New Testament Grace Passages
This resource lists each word translated as grace in the New Testament and includes all the verses where the words occur. If a word is used more than once in a verse, I add the number of times the word appears. The words translated grace have a wide range of meaning. Therefore, I include the way the word is translated in the ESV with each verse. Reading and studying the passages in this list helps us deepen our understanding of grace.
Grace is first a description of the way our loving God relates to us and works among us. Once we receive God’s grace, we return it to him as an expression of thanksgiving and offer his loving grace to others. The Lord’s gaze is full of grace when he looks at us. If the Lord always approaches us by his grace, then grace is central to our growing to maturity in Jesus and not just a factor in our initial coming to faith.
