The Tanner’s Roof

Prayer is one of the Lord’s primary ways of connecting with us and guiding us. In this study, we’ll spend some time with Peter to learn from the way he lived how prayer is central to the rhythm of our own life.

The New Testament contains a wealth of teaching about the Lord and the life he provides, and stories like those from the book of Acts show us how the first Christians learned to flesh out this teaching in their lives. The stories about Peter and his time in Lydda and Joppa are just as important for us as the heavy teaching passages we find in the New Testament.

Peter’s habits and his rhythm of life are very powerful teaching for us. We see the once impulsive Peter now traveling throughout the area planting and assisting churches as they grew. Peter learned his rhythms of life from Jesus, and we need to learn the same lessons.
