Paul tells us in Colossians 1:20 that Jesus came to restore everything in all of creation to God. He goes on to say that restoring everything in all of creation to God includes restoring all people to God.<\/p>\n

This is why we hear Jesus defining salvation in John 17:3 as being restored to God through himself.<\/p>\n

This comment for me is the core of what Jesus came to accomplish. Restoring all things to God is Jesus’s overarching work.
